Overview

Li Xing Chen, a former criminal investigator now working as a traffic police officer, takes on a mysterious hit-and-run case on a rainy night. Entrepreneur Gao Yu Hai is killed in the crash, but the scene has already been tampered with by someone posing as a traffic officer, erasing crucial evidence. A special task force is formed, with Li Xing Chen leading the investigation. The driver, Shen Xi, appears to have no connection to the victim, but as the investigation deepens, Li Xing Chen uncovers layer after layer of lies. Just as the case is about to be ruled a traffic accident, Xiao Ze is found hanging in a remote forest, raising new suspicions. Following the trail into the past, Li Xing Chen discovers a connection to a dance competition. On the night of a dance production, Shen Xi takes poison onstage, leaving behind a recorded message revealing the devastating abuse she suffered at the hands of the powerful. As the truth behind the rainy-night crash finally comes to light, Li Xing Chen witnesses the tragedy of ordinary people caught beneath the shadow of power—and the tangled depths of human nature hidden behind what first appeared to be an accident.
