These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Insight Media Hub (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Insight Media Hub is a free, informational reference directory. It displays movie and television metadata, video-game metadata, technology discussion rankings and related reference details sourced from openly licensed public data providers. The Service is an index and discovery tool. It does not host, stream, sell, or distribute films, television episodes, games, music, song lyrics, or subtitle files, and provides no downloads of copyrighted media.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any information is accurate, complete, current, or free of upstream errors. Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR OF THE SERVICE, OR ANY OF ITS CONTRIBUTORS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, OR ANY LINKED THIRD-PARTY SITE OR SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED (100) UNITS OF LOCAL CURRENCY OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS ZERO), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
All film, television, game, and other media metadata, artwork, posters, screenshots, cover art, logos, titles, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are provided by independent, openly-licensed data sources — namely TVmaze (CC BY-SA), Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons (CC0 / free-content licenses), TVmaze (CC BY-SA), and the Hacker News API. Insight Media Hub is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or certified by any of these providers or by any studio, publisher, developer, artist, or rights holder. Trademarks and copyrighted works are used for identification and reference only, under nominative fair use. Your use of any third-party content is also subject to that provider's own terms and licenses.
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you are a rights holder (or an authorized agent) and believe content displayed or linked on the Service infringes your rights, send a notice via our contact page identifying the work, the specific URL, your rights, and your contact details. We operate a good-faith notice-and-takedown process and will remove or disable access to properly identified material promptly. Because the underlying data is supplied by third-party APIs, we may also refer valid complaints to the originating provider.
The Service contains links to third-party websites and resources that we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, products, or practices of any linked site. Accessing a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms and privacy policy.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or third-party right; (b) scrape, harvest, or place automated load on the Service at abusive rates or in a way that burdens the underlying data providers; (c) attempt to access non-public areas, circumvent security, or interfere with the Service; or (d) misrepresent the Service's data as official, verified, or your own.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator of the Service and its contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Data is fetched from third-party sources and cached; release dates, ratings, availability, and specifications may change or contain upstream errors. Always verify critical details with official sources. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability.
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age required for consent in their jurisdiction (at least 13, or 16 where applicable). If you are under the applicable age, do not use the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute that is not subject to binding arbitration or small-claims resolution. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the laws of your own country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
