This Privacy Policy explains how Insight Media Hub ("we", "us", the "Service") handles information when you visit. We designed the Service to collect as little as possible about you.
No accounts. The public Service does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or password.
Aggregate, first-party analytics. We count page views, referring domains, and anonymous on-site search terms in aggregate to understand what is popular. This analytics data is not used to identify individuals and is not combined into personal profiles.
Server logs. Like virtually all websites, our infrastructure and content delivery network may record standard technical request information (such as your IP address, timestamp, requested URL, status code, and user-agent) for a limited period to keep the Service secure, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse. These operational logs are access-restricted and are not sold or used for advertising.
Local browser storage. The Service saves small preferences on your own device using your browser's local storage — currently your light/dark theme choice and, if you use it, your personal watchlist. This information stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.
The core Service sets no tracking cookies of its own and does not require you to sign in.
Third-party advertising. We may display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. At present the Service displays only non-personalized ads and does not yet operate a consent-management platform (CMP). Before enabling personalized advertising — or serving ads to visitors in the EEA or UK, where prior consent is legally required — we will implement a Google-certified consent prompt.
Content is retrieved from independent public data providers (for example Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, TVmaze, and the Hacker News API). When a page shows artwork or screenshots, your browser may load those images directly from the provider's content-delivery network; those requests are governed by each provider's own privacy policy, which we do not control.
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not maintain accounts or personal profiles about visitors, there is generally no personal data for us to export, correct, or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights regarding personal data; to exercise any such right, or to ask a privacy question, contact us via the contact page. For advertising data held by third parties such as Google, use the provider opt-out links above.
The Service may be operated from, and its providers may process data in, countries other than yours. By using the Service you understand that information may be processed in those locations under this Policy.
We may update this Policy as the Service and applicable law evolve; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
