Overview

The main character of the series is the geologist Yasha Teplyakov. After many years of a nomadic life, he returns to Kulakovo to start over: to build a house, find a job, and finally find personal happiness. His first love, Svetlana, lives there. Rumour has it that she is not married and is raising her son alone, so Yasha hopes that fate will give them another chance. His childhood friends welcome Yasha like family. Despite their different personalities, they are always ready to support their friend and sincerely believe: "You're a good guy, everything will work out for you." Yasha's world is built on simple but firm principles: the strong should not harm the weak, lying is unacceptable, and those who find themselves in trouble must be helped. His garage, converted into an auto repair shop, becomes a place where people go when they have no one else to turn to. Over time, Yasha becomes an unofficial helper to the local police.
