Dundee and the Culhane (1967)

Overview

A Colt 45, a law book, and a profound sense of justice and fair play define the tools of the trade every Wednesday at 9 p.m. "Dundee and The Culhane," an hour-long color series, brings fresh innovations to the traditional TV western format. Leading the cast is esteemed English actor John Mills, who takes on the role of "Dundee," an English barrister based in San Francisco. Alongside his fiery Irish law partner, "The Culhane," played by Sean Garrison, they journey across the Old West seeking justice for the innocent and delivering punishment to the guilty. The dynamic between these two characters forms the heart of the show. Dundee's calm, resolute sense of fairness contrasts with The Culhane's spirited Irish passion, creating a strong bond reminiscent of Damon and Pythias. Their complementary qualities establish them as two of the most admired figures in the West, earning respect wherever their pursuit of justice leads them.
